ABOUT
OPCWTCH
MISSION & HISTORY.
Having seen first-hand how many people fall through the gaps, especially veterans, the idea of OpCwtch was born.
Over the past few months, we’ve been pulling together a detailed picture of what support is and isn’t available locally for veterans, serving personnel and their families.
While there are some excellent charities and regional services, there is no single, accessible, local point where they can come in, be listened to and get practical help and signposting to navigate housing, benefits, mental health, socialising, employment and everyday support.
We want to change that!
Our team is small but deeply committed. We’re community members, volunteers, veterans, supporters and local people who believe that nobody should feel alone, especially those who have already given so much.
So together, we’re building the OpCwtch Armed Forces Hub:
· A safe and welcoming place for veterans, serving personnel and their families to connect
· Early intervention to prevent homelessness and crisis
· Peer support and a sense of belonging
· Act as a local signposting point into the wider network of specialist armed forces organisations
· Access to skills, volunteering, training and community engagement
· Opportunity and support to ex-offenders
Our vision is simple: no one left behind, no one slipping through the cracks. A place where people can find connection, dignity and a clear path forward.
PARTNERS.
We are actively seeking local partners to collaborate with us. If you are interested in joining forces and exploring opportunities together, please reach out. Let's work together to create something great in our community!
